Welcome to LocalMind AI. Your privacy is our highest priority. We built this application with a strict focus on local processing and data security. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the LocalMind AI mobile application (the "App").

2. Information We Do Not Collect

LocalMind AI is designed to run entirely on your device after the initial setup. Because of this, we do not collect, store, or transmit your conversations, prompts, or generated text.

  • All AI processing (inference) is handled locally on your device's hardware (CPU/RAM).
  • Your chat history remains exclusively on your local device.
  • We do not have servers that harvest or read your personal data or messages.
  • LocalMind AI generates content completely on-device for maximum user privacy. To comply with AI safety policies, the app includes an in-app 'Report' flag on all AI responses. Because we do not collect or transmit user chat data to any servers, reports of inappropriate content are immediately processed on-device by adjusting the local AI system prompt guardrails to prevent future occurrences, ensuring both user safety and total data privacy

3. Information Collected by Third Parties

While we, the developers, do not collect your personal chat data, the third-party services integrated into our App (such as Google Play and Google AdMob) automatically collect certain standard technical and usage data:

  • In-App Purchases: If you purchase subscriptions or tokens, the transaction is processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not have access to your credit card information; we only receive an anonymous purchase token to verify your premium status.
  • Advertisements (Google AdMob): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
  • Crash Reports and Analytics: The Google Play Console automatically collects aggregated, anonymous crash reports and performance data to help us identify bugs and improve the App's stability.

4. Third-Party Privacy Policies

The App uses the following third-party services that collect information strictly governed by their own privacy policies. We highly recommend reviewing them:

  • Google Play Services: Used for app delivery, updates, and crash reporting.
  • Google Play Billing: Used for processing secure in-app purchases and subscriptions.
  • Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements. You can manage your ad preferences via your Android device settings.

5. Internet Permissions

The App requests internet permissions exclusively for two reasons:

  1. Initial Setup: To download the necessary AI models to your device upon first launch or when you request a new model.
  2. Billing Verification: To securely verify subscription status or token purchases via Google Play Billing. Once models are downloaded, the core AI chat functionality operates 100% offline.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers (if applicable). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
